Hi! I'm Madz (they/them pronouns). I'm a pre-licensed mental health counselor and art therapist located in Denver, CO (providing services to Colorado residents only). As a therapist, I primarily use art therapy and mindfulness-based interventions although I love integrating other therapeutic modalities to create personalized treatment for each client. I also believe you don't have to be an artist to benefit from the healing power of creation! Outside of therapy, I love to create art, explore new places, and hang out with my two cats, Serotonin and Dopamine. I look forward to connecting with you!
EXPERIENCE
Before starting my own practice, I worked in a community mental health setting primarily with kids and families. Through this experience, I learned that my true passion lies in helping people manage their emotions, understand the way their brain functions, work through traumatic experiences, and come into their own identity as human beings.
